Is there a general best approach for an older surviving parent in regards to their home? Is there a tax advantage to doing a quitclaim to a child or just keep it in their name and let it go through probate if they are under the 11 million cap? I know there are look back issues for a number of years in case they would need the asset to pay for long-term medical expenses and the state could collect the asset value within the look back period. Thanks!
